The Arts Central does not send Spam or sell email addresses. This Privacy Policy describes how we treat the information we collect when you visit our web site and / or received any emails from The Arts Central.

In order to send you e-mail from The Arts Central (if any), we need your e-mail address. If you choose to sign up for a FREE The Arts Central account (to enter participate in member only areas on the site, such as an Artist or Art Gallery, or an Artist exhibiting in our Online Exhibition section), you will have a Profile page on the site, containing your username and some basic information related to demographics and the medium of Art you practice. You may also add additional optional information to your Profile. Your additional information will ONLY be accessible to The Arts Central administrator and will be used after your formal consent. For example if you are an Artist interested in getting in touch with an Art Gallery or vice versa. Links to your Profile Page may be included on other pages of The Arts Central. If you comment on one of The Arts Central users profiles or four portfolio images in the respective gallery, the user will be informed of your comment via an email. PLEASE NOTE THAT, REGARDLESS OF WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION A MEMBER CHOOSES TO INCLUDE IN HIS OR HER PROFILE, THE ARTS CENTRAL ONLY INCLUDES INFORMATION (i.e. NAME, LOCATION, MEDIUM AND PUBLIC PROFILE. THIS INFORMATION WILL BE ACCESSIBLE TO ANYONE VISITING THAT PROFILE PAGE ON THE THE ARTS CENTRAL WEBSITE. The Arts Central takes it a step further and includes ‘A SPECIAL CATEGORY’ for Artists with illnesses and disabilities and also children with Autism.

This site has a comment section on Artist and Art Gallery profile and portfolio pages available to its users. Please remember that any information that is disclosed becomes public information. Exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information. Although we value individual ideas and encourage free expression, The Arts Central reserves the right to take necessary action to preserve commenting integrity, such as removing any posting that is vulgar, off-topic, or inappropriate. THE ARTS CENTRAL HAS BARRED THE USE OF ITS MEMBERS ADDING INFORMATION SUCH AS EMAIL ADDRESSES, TELEPHONE NUMBERS AND CREDIT CARD DETAILS TO A CERTAIN EXTENT.

In addition to collecting personal and non-personal information, The Arts Central may also collect non-personal, aggregated information about subscribers' use of our site. This information is not personally identifiable and will only be used to find out how subscribers use our service and site.
